Our Story

So, it all started with a swipe... Yes, you heard that right! In the world of modern romance, our paths crossed in the digital realm of a dating app. Our first date? It was at Terrapin Crossroads in Marin County, a charming spot nestled in Northern California, owned by the renowned Grateful Dead bass guitarist, Phil Lesh. As we sat across from each other, sharing stories and laughter, we knew there was something special.

Just three months into dating, the world as we knew it came to a halt with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. At this point, Alex made a bold proposal to Daniela: Why not move into a trailer together and embark on an adventure of a lifetime together?

Daniela said yes, albeit with the condition of only committing to six months on the road. Little did she know, those six months would turn into thirteen, as we found ourselves falling in love not just with each other, but with the freedom and spontaneity of life on the road.

Eventually, our nomadic spirits led us to Bodega Bay, where we took a well-deserved rest to contemplate our next move. It wasn't long before we knew: our hearts belonged in Lake Tahoe, where we could continue our relationship with the mountains and the water, all while building a home together.

It was in Lake Tahoe that we welcomed Frijolo into our lives, our beloved dog, adding an extra layer of joy to our adventures in the great outdoors. From snowboarding to hiking and peaceful moments by the water's edge, our bond grew stronger with each day.

As we look back on our journey, we can't help but marvel at the twists and turns that brought us here, grateful for every bump in the road that strengthened our bond and enriched our lives. And as we stand on the threshold of the future, we do so with hearts full of excitement, eager to embrace the future, together.
